SanJose (8-1-0) enters his first Front Street Fights event as the top-ranked bantamweight fighter in the Pacific Northwest region and sits eighth in the U.S. West region. The fighter out of Oregon returns to the cage after two years away and has won three-straight bouts with his most recent by unanimous decision on Feb. 22, 2020 against an undefeated Timothy Smith. SanJose, a native of Hawai’i, has half of his victories by submission and the other half by decisions. He has won two title belts at other promotions.

Steele (6-2-0) returns to Front Street Fights for the third time, last appearing at Front Street Fights 7 in November 2015 against Joaquin Calderon and the first time at the first FSF event against Gabe Pelayo. The fighter out of Idaho won his first six-straight bouts by decision with five of those as unanimous decisions. The Boise native appeared in Season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2018, winning his exhibition bout with Suman Mokhtarian, and also defeated Phil Caracappa in Week 7 of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019.

Announcements for additions to the pro and amateur fight cards will be announced at a later date.

Idaho’s most talented mixed martial artists square off in the cage at Idaho Central Arena at Front Street Fights, the arena’s own MMA fight promotion. Front Street Fights has already hosted 24 MMA events since making its debut on May 16, 2014. During that time, rising MMA stars and accomplished fighters like Jesse Brock, Ricky Steele, Scott Thometz, and Vince Morales have squared off in front of Boise fight fans. Front Street Fights hosts four events per year, and its success has attracted not only bigger names to Boise, but also bigger promotions that included a Bellator MMA event in May 2016 and September 2018.
