Boise, ID (12/29/17)— The FSF Lightweight Title will be on the line on XXX when Hamilton “The Honey Hamster” Ash meets Josh “The White Mamba” Wick inside the CenturyLink Arena Cage at Front Street Fights 16: Ash vs. Wick, presented by Bodybuilding.com.
The pair will battle for the title belt vacated by David Castillo, who retired this year. Castillo won the Lightweight championship at FSF9 with a victory over Scott Thometz to become the first title-holder in Front Street Fights history.
Ash (7-2-0) is riding a three fight winning streak following a majority decision at FSF14 in November over Brandon Todd, tarnishing Todd’s perfect record. The 5-foot-10 fighter out of Oregon has earned five of his seven career victories via submission, including two of his last three. It will be Ash’s second appearance at Front Street Fights, but his third at CenturyLink Arena where he was defeated by Vince Morales by TKO at Bellator 155 in May 2016.
Wick (8-3-0) has won his last two fights and three of his last four, coming off a victory at Paramount MMA 8 in October. The 5-foot-9 Boise fighter is 3-0-0 as a professional at Front Street Fights, earning victories at FSF1, FSF6, and FSF11. Wick earned his first six career victories via submission, three of them with the armlock. His last two have been won by TKO and unanimous decision, respectively.
This event also marks the first time that FSF has run events in consecutive months versus once per quarter.
Additions to the fight card, including the co-main event, will be announced in the coming days.. Doors for Front Street Fights 16 will open at 6pm, with the first fight scheduled for 7pm. The event will be broadcast live on Cable One Channel 72 and streamed on the Front Street Fights YouTube page.
