Steelheads, PacificSource to “Activate Your Health”

(Boise, ID) – The Idaho Steelheads are partnering with PacificSource Health Plans and Activate Treasure Valley to present “Activate Your Health Night,” Friday night at CenturyLink Arena, when the Steelheads host the Bakersfield Condors.

On Friday night, join Activate Treasure Valley, an initiative sponsored by PacificSource that promotes better lives through activity and healthy eating, as they explore traditional, new and unconventional ways to help you amp up your health.

Among the ways fans can activate their health on Friday night include new menu items at the CenturyLink Arena concession stands, a “Food Factor” challenge where kids can win prizes by trying unusual and exotic foods, and free blood pressure checks from PacificSource Health Plans.

Albertson’s is providing a free “Fresh and Fit” stand at the game, where fans can sample free produce as well.

The highlight of the night, however, is a two-man competition inside CenturyLink Arena as PacificSource Senior Vice President Dave Self will engage in a head-to-head stair-walking challenge during the second period with Treasure Valley YMCA Chief Executive Officer Jim Everett. The winner will secure a donation from CenturyLink Arena for $500 on their behalf to Activate Treasure Valley, an initiative sponsored by PacificSource Health Plans that encourages better lives through activity and healthy eating.

Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips with each ticket.
