Andrew Cruz, Terrance McKinney Set for Title Fight at Front Street Fights 21

BOISE, Idaho – The Featherweight Title is on the line when MMA returns to CenturyLink Arena as Andrew “Hurricane” Cruz defends his belt against Terrance “T.Wrecks” McKinney at Front Street Fights 21: Cruz vs. McKinney, presented by Project Filter, on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Cruz (7-3-0) returns to the cage at CenturyLink Arena for the fifth time, taking down Drew Brokenshire in the third round by punches to claim the Featherweight Title as the challenger. The fighter out of Idaho has won three-straight decisions with his most recent against Jon Neal on September 6 by rear naked choke and his first over Nathan Stolen via armbar at Bellator 205 in CenturyLink Arena. The 28-year-old is 3-1-0 in decisions in downtown Boise with his only loss against Vince Morales at Front Street Fights 10.

Cruz is the top-ranked Featherweight professional fighter in Idaho and ranked in the top-60 in the United States. Six of his seven wins have come by submission, and five of those have been an armbar or rear naked choke.

McKinney (7-3-0) makes his second appearance at a Front Street Fights event after defeating Bobby McIntyre by rear naked choke in the Main Event at Front Street Fights 19. The 25-year-old fought in Dana White’s Contender Series on July 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada against Sean Woodson, which was featured on ESPN+, and also met Darrick Minner, another Contender Series fighter, in October. The fighter out of Spokane, Wash. has been featured in the Main Event during three of his last four bouts.

McKinney is ranked in the top-50 in the U.S. West among professional Featherweights. Six of his seven wins have come by submission with the lone exception against Jeff Coleman, when he won by punches in seven seconds on Feb. 8, 2019.
