Boise State hockey opens season on Saturday

Boise, ID (9/22/14) – The BSU men’s club hockey team kicks off its 2014 season against University of Utah, at CenturyLink arena on Saturday, September 27.  The puck drops at 7 PM.

Tickets to all home games are free for the first 250 students and staff with current 2014-2015 ID. Student tickets can be picked up at the front counter of the recreation center on campus. For all other fans, general tickets are available for $7 at the doors.

Looking to improve on last year’s final ranking of no. 7, Boise State Men’s Hockey plans to bring their fight to the ice! Support the team’s efforts as they take this season’s battle to their home ice at CenturyLink Arena in Downtown Boise. Eleven of the team’s home games will be played at CenturyLink arena this season. Some of these games include: San Jose State, BYU, Montana Tech, Montana State, and Western Washington.

The team also returns to battle longtime rival, University of Idaho, at the Black & Blue Game on Sunday, Nov 9 at CenturyLink Arena at 2pm. This game is also a major fundraiser for the local charity Meals on Wheels.

CenturyLink Arena is located in the heart of downtown Boise. It is home to the Idaho Steelheads and the Idaho Stampede. Seating 5,000 people, CenturyLink Arena hosts many events every year.
