Thiago Alves, Josh Wick to meet in Co-Main Event at FSF11

Boise, ID (1/13/17)— Idaho native Josh “The White Mamba” Wick will make his third appearance at Front Street Fights on February 24th, when he squares off  in a Lightweight bout against Utah’s Thiago Alves in the Co-Main Event at Front Street Fights 11, presented by Bodybuilding.com, at CenturyLink Arena.

Wick and Thiago are both signed with LFA, and both fighters carry 6-3-0 records into their first career meeting.

Wick, 22, is looking to rebound from a defeat in his last fight on December 3rd at Jackson’s MMA Series XX, but he’s had plenty of success at CenturyLink Arena. Wick earned victories at FSF2 and FSF6. The fighter from Kuna defeated Lonny Burton at FSF2 in August of 2014 via naked chokehold, and he bested current FSF Featherweight champ, Vince Morales, with a chokehold in September 2015 at FSF6, handing Morales his only professional defeat. Wick has earned all six of his pro victories via submission.

Alves, 30, has won each of his last two fights, coming in January and February of 2016. Though he has not yet appeared at Front Street Fights, he has fought men the FSF fans know well. Alves has faced Kerry Lattimer and Jesse Brock in his pro career, falling to Lattimer by unanimous decision at SteelFist Fight Night XXIV in April 2014 and by TKO to Jesse Brock at Rage in the Cage VII in 2013. Alves has earned five of his six wins via submission.

Wick and Alves join a fight card already featuring Idaho natives Czar “The Gunfighter” Sklavos and Casey “Wild Style” Johnson battling for the Flyweight Title. Doors for Front Street Fights 11 will open at 6pm, with the first fight scheduled for 7pm.
