CenturyLink Arena Hosts Idaho Lottery “Scratch for Schools” Event

CenturyLink Arena Hosts Idaho Lottery “Scratch for Schools” Event (Boise, ID) The Idaho Lottery “Scratch for Schools” fundraising event will be held at CenturyLink Arena on Thursday, October 18 from 4 PM to 6 PM. At the event, the teachers have the chance to raise additional funds for their local schools’ needs such as books, desks, playground equipment and field trips. The Grove Hotel hosted the event in October of 2011 where nearly $16,000 was earned by the 77 participating schools. This year, the hotel will be hosting the largest mass scratch off event ever held in Idaho with over 100 local schools (over 300 participants) scratching at the same time. Since the start of “Scratch for Schools” in 2001, it has raised over $565,000 for Idaho Public Schools. The Idaho Lottery’s event stops all over Idaho include Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Caldwell, Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Sandpoint and Twin Falls. The rules of the game: Each team must consist of three adult team members. The team is given 300 lottery tickets where two of the team members can scratch at the same time within a five-minute time limit. The amount of money from all the tickets is donated to the school. CenturyLink Arena is located in the heart of downtown Boise. It is home to the Idaho Steelheads and the Idaho Stampede. Seating 5,000 people CenturyLink Arena hosts many events every year.
