Cortez vs. Beebe headlines Front Street Fights 13

Boise, ID (7/7/17)— A Heavyweight bout grabs the spotlight at CenturyLink Arena on August 18th when Luis “The Mexican Hulk” Cortez and Ben Beebe square off in the Main Event at Front Street Fights 13: Cortez vs. Beebe, presented by Bodybuilding.com.

Cortez (4-5-0) makes his third career appearance at Front Street Fights, coming off a victory at “King of the Cage: Quick Draw” over Ryan Wagner in June. Cortez’s prior appearances at CenturyLink Arena were both short and decisive. The 6-foot Cortez knocked out Colton Vaughn 23 seconds into the first round at FSF 6, but it was Vaughn who answered with the quick TKO just 1:36 into the first round of the rematch at FSF 9. The 30 year-old Idaho native has earned all four of his pro victories by knockout or TKO, though four of his defeats have occurred in the same fashion.

Beebe (7-2-0) makes his Front Street Fights debut, coming off a TKO victory over Steven Mitchell at Gladiator Challenge in June. The 6-foot-3 California native won his first five professional fights and has split the last four, with none of his last three bouts lasting beyond the first round (two wins, one defeat). Five of Beebe’s seven victories have come via knockout or TKO, with only three of his fights in his professional career going the distance.

Additions to the fight card, including the co-main event, will be announced next week. Doors for Front Street Fights 13 will open at 6pm, with the first fight scheduled for 7pm.
