“Front Street Fights” coming to downtown Boise

Boise, ID (3/4/14) – Professional Mixed Martial Arts is returning to downtown Boise this spring as CenturyLink Arena unveiled its new “Front Street Fights” on Tuesday.

The first Front Street Fights event will be Friday, May 16, at CenturyLink Arena and will feature four fully-professional MMA fights along with six amateur fights on the undercard.  Tickets for the event, which go on sale Wednesday at 10 AM, will begin at just $15.

The pro fight card will feature two main events.  First, Jacen Flynn of Twin Falls puts his 10-3 career mark on the line against Leo Bercier (9-4-1, Missoula, MT).  Flynn turned pro in 1999 and competed on the UFC’s “Ultimate Fighter” reality show in 2010 on SpikeTV.

The co-man event features Nampa’s Colton Vaughn against New Jersey’s Jamelle Jones.  Vaughn was a highly-ranked prep wrestler at Columbia High School while Jones won a pair of junior-college wrestling national championships, including the 2011 title at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene.
The two scheduled professional undercard events will feature Miles Hunsinger (2-0, Nampa, ID) against Jordan Currie (3-1, Spokane, WA) and Ricky Steele (1-0, Boise, ID) against Josh Wright (2-1, Superior, MT).

General-admission upper bowl seating costs just $15 per ticket.  Lower-bowl reserved seats are $30 apiece with floor-reserved seats at $50.  Fans interested in a floor-level table for eight can get those for $400.

CenturyLink Arena is located in the heart of downtown Boise. It is home to the Idaho Steelheads and the Idaho Stampede. Seating 5,000 people, CenturyLink Arena hosts many events every year. More than 350,000 fans attend over 100 events during 2012. For more event dates and tickets visit www.centurylinkarenaboise.com or call 331-TIXS.
