Front Street Fights to ring the bell Friday

Boise, ID (5/13/14) – The Treasure Valley’s newest entertainment brand – Front Street Fights – will hold its first event at CenturyLink Arena Friday night at 7 PM.  Doors open at 6 PM for the seven-fight, professional mixed-martial arts event.

The main event features former Boise State wrestling star Jesse Brock, a two-time Pac-Ten champion and three-time NCAA national wrestling championship qualifier, taking on Omar Avelar out of Moses Lake, Washington.

There are three other professional events inside the cage on the CenturyLink Arena floor, each featuring a local fighter.  Boise’s Ricky Steele, Colton Vaughn of Nampa and Miles Hunsinger of Nampa will each step into the ring in a pro bout.  There will also be three amateur bouts before the pro card begins.

Main Event:  Jesse Brock vs. Omar Avelar
Co-Main Event:  Colton Vaughn vs. Eti Palu
Professional Bouts:  Miles Hunsinger vs. Jordan Currie; Ricky Steele vs. Gabriel Pelayo
Amateur Bouts:  Billy Edney vs. Veta Arteaga; Tristan Maes vs. Darneal Stephens; Thomas Hawkins vs. Derrick Urquidi

A full weigh-in event will also take place on Thursday on the CenturyLink Arena floor, right next to the cage, beginning at 6 PM.  Media is welcome at the weigh-in and two (2) fight-night credentials will be issued per media outlet.

General-admission upper bowl seating costs just $15 per ticket.  Lower-bowl reserved seats are $30 apiece with floor-reserved seats at $50.  Fans interested in a floor-level table for eight can get those for $400.

CenturyLink Arena is located in the heart of downtown Boise. It is home to the Idaho Steelheads and the Idaho Stampede. Seating 5,000 people, CenturyLink Arena hosts many events every year.
