CenturyLink Arena unveils new signage on Grove Plaza

Boise, ID (1/9/17)— As construction crews continue working around the clock to complete the beautiful renovations to the Grove Plaza and the Boise Center on the Grove, CenturyLink Arena has also taken action to reenergize its appearance. On Monday afternoon, CenturyLink Arena installed brand new LED signage above the main entranceway to welcome hockey fans, convention guests, and concert-goers this year.

The brand new lettering, displaying the arena name and the CenturyLink emblem, is a vibrant mark among the new lights and logos that now decorate the plaza. CenturyLink has been the title sponsor of the arena since 2005 and maintains a high-profile presence in the heart of downtown Boise.

“There has been a tremendous effort over this past year to bring more businesses and amenities into the Grove Plaza, and we know that the focal point for many of its visitors is the events that we host at CenturyLink Arena,” said Eric Trapp, the General Manager of CenturyLink Arena.

“This new LED sign we now have outside of our arena will give both our brand and our partners the kind of prominent recognition that the arena has earned. We’re very excited to be adding some upgrades to our home to join those of our neighbors in the plaza.”

The new signage is just the latest upgrade to the arena since CenturyLink became the official naming-rights holder. In the summer of 2014, the arena installed a new center ice video scoreboard. This past summer, the arena underwent extensive renovations for its mid-level luxury suites.

Together with CenturyLink, arena management has worked to ensure that CenturyLink Arena is a cutting-edge facility, both inside and out, for its guests in Boise.

“CenturyLink is excited about our sponsorship of CenturyLink Arena, and our partnership with the Idaho Steelheads and the Grove Hotel,” said Jim Schmit, CenturyLink Idaho Vice President.  “Our association with these anchors in the core of downtown Boise reflects CenturyLink’s vision of improving the lives of our customers, not only by connecting them to the power of the digital world, but also by being an active part of their community.”

CenturyLink Arena is the home of the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads, as well as Front Street Fights, the arena’s own MMA fight promotion. For tickets and information to all arena events, contact the CenturyLink Arena Front Office at 383-0080 and visit online at centurylinkarenaboise.com.
