Additions announced for Bellator 205 undercard

Boise, ID (8/16/18)— Bellator has announced the addition of three fights to Bellator 205 on September 21st at CenturyLink Arena, highlighted by Boise Lightweight Josh Wick’s bout with Johnny Nunez.

Bryce Edminister will take on Leon Taylor in a Featherweight bout, and Sua Tuani will meet Emilio Trevino in the Light Heavyweight division.

Wick (9-3-0) carries a three-fight winning streak into his Bellator debut, his last victory a unanimous decision over Hamilton Ash at Front Street Fights 16 in February. The 23 year-old Boise fighter has appeared in four Front Street Fights events at CenturyLink Arena and is unbeaten in downtown Boise. Wick has earned professional victories at FSF, The Clash MMA, RFA, and Paramount MMA over the course of his career. His last two victories have come via unanimous decision, but he does have six submission wins on his resume.

Nunez (6-1-0) also makes his Bellator debut in his first fight in Boise, the Las Vegas fighter stepping into the cage for the first time since February 2017. The 32 year-old earned a victory in his last pro bout, a unanimous decision against David Jordan at World Series of Fighting 26 in December 2015. He has suffered a series of exhibition defeats surrounding that win, falling in two exhibition bouts on Season 22 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and again on Season 25 in February 2017. Nunez opened his career with a five-fight winning streak, but Bellator 205 will be just his third fight to count against his record since April 2014.

Edminister (1-1-0) fights for the second time at CenturyLink Arena and looks to carry the momentum from his first pro win earned at SteelFist Fight Night 57 in April. Taylor (4-3-0) looks to extend a four-fight winning streak which began at CenturyLink Arena at FSF 10. Overall, the Idaho fighter is 1-3-0 in his career at CenturyLink Arena.

Trevino (2-0-0) and Tuani (2-0-0) both look to stay undefeated in their Bellator debuts. Idaho’s Trevino earned victories at FSF13 and FSF15, one by decision and one by third-round submission. Tuani, fighting out of Washington, has already fought twice in 2018 to earn his first professional victories, a first-round submission victory in February at Reign FC and another win at Reign FC in May via second-round TKO.

In addition to the preliminary fights announced, Bellator has announced a change to the Main Event. Bellator 205 was originally headlined by the Featherweight fight between two-time world champion Pat Curran and undefeated AJ McKee. Curran has withdrawn due to injury, and he has been replaced by John Macapa. Macapa (21-3-0) is a Brazilian fighter making his seventh appearance at Bellator, looking to bounce back from a defeat by unanimous decision to Curran at Bellator 184 in October 2017.
