Hockey returns to downtown Boise

(Boise, ID) – Ice hockey returns to downtown Boise on Friday, September 23 when the Boise State men’s club team faces the University of Utah at the newly-renamed CenturyLink Arena.

Game time is 7 PM. Boise State is coached by Cal Ingraham, a former Idaho Steelheads star whose number 22 was retired by the team.  The game will also be broadcast live in an audio-only webcast on IdahoSports.com.

CenturyLink Arena, formerly Qwest Arena, adjoins the Grove Hotel in downtown Boise at the corner of Front Street and Capitol Boulevard. The CenturyLink Arena ice surface will get a workout this season. The primary tenant of the arena is the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads, who play 36 home games (plus playoffs) at CenturyLink. Also playing games at CenturyLink Arena will be Boise State, the Tier III Junior-A Idaho Junior Steelheads, local high schools, and select recreational leagues.

Tickets are available at the door for $7 apiece. Tickets are also available at the Boise State Student Recreation Center for $4 each with a valid BSU student ID card. For more information on the Boise State men’s club hockey team, visit www.boisestatehockeyclub.com.
