Boise, ID (2/13/18)— Casey “Wild Style’ Johnson returns to CenturyLink Arena on February 23rd for his third FSF appearance when he faces Javier “El Coyote” Obregon in a bantamweight bout for the Co-Main Event at Front Street Fights 16: Ash vs. Wick, presented by Bodybuilding.com.
Johnson (6-1-0) is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Bobby Sanchez at “KOTC: QuickDraw” in June, the third victory of his career by knockout or TKO. The Middleton, Idaho fighter suffered his first professional defeat at FSF11, falling to Czar Sklavos in the Flyweight Title Fight, but he earned a victory at FSF8 with a submission victory over Matt Goff. Johnson also earned a victory at CenturyLink Arena in May 2016 on the preliminary card for Bellator 155, a submission win over Brendan Raftery.
Obregon (13-14-0) is riding a four-fight winning streak heading into his FSF debut, not having suffered a defeat since November 2016. Obregon is coming off a second-round submission win at “LFA 32: Allen vs Hernandez” over Joel Scott. The Fort Worth, Texas fighter has won six of his last seven fights- three via decision, two via submission, and one by knockout.
Johnson and Obregon will enter the cage prior to the Main Event, when Josh “The White Mamba” Wick battles Hamilton “The Honey Hamster” Ash for the FSF Lightweight Title.
Front Street Fights continues to search for a Welterweight opponent for Jacob “The Phoenix” Hauck. Hauck was originally scheduled to fight Darrell Flores, who was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Doors for Front Street Fights 16 will open at 6pm, with the first fight scheduled for 7pm. The event will be broadcast live on Cable One Channel 72 and streamed on the Front Street Fights YouTube page.
