Morale claims Featherweight Title at Front Street Fights 10

Boise, ID (12/9/16) – Vince Morales was named the FSF Featherweight Champion after defeating Andrew Cruz by TKO in Round 3 of the main event at Front Street Fight 10 presented by BodyBuilding.com.

Cruz (5-0) controlled the beginning of the fight with a takedown, only for Morales (4-2) to continuously fight his way back onto his feet. Cruz delivered several hits to Morales as he was down, but none strong enough to keep him there. At the start of Round 3 Cruz was tired from the strikes delivered by Morales, with both men continuously trading left and rights. Morales delivered tough strikes and finally dropped Cruz with a great combination to secure the Featherweight championship.

The co-main event saw the much anticipated hometown debut of Shino VanHoose who got huge reactions from the crowd as she entered the arena to face off with Sarah Lagerstrom. VanHoose (5-5) had Lagerstrom (0-5) on the floor for most of the match with VanHoose slamming her with elbows and strikes from the top. Lagerstrom was not as successful in breaking away from VanHoose’s attacks to try to strike back, as she did not have much control over her position, ending in a loss.

Darneal Stephens (2-1) defeated Abraham Campos (1-3) after an intense amount of pressure. Stephens slammed his opponent with big kicks to the head and mid section and comes out with a win by referee stoppage at 4:42 of the first round.
