Amateur Cards Added To Front Street Fights 18: Brokenshire vs. Cruz

BOISE, Idaho – Five amateur bouts have been added to the fight card for Front Street Fights 18: Brokenshire vs. Cruz, presented by BodyBuilding.com, at CenturyLink Arena on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m.

All five undercard fights lead into the Co-Main Event Title Fight between defending champion Drew “The Eternal Fire” Brokenshire against Andrew “Hurricane” Cruz in a bout for the FSF Featherweight Title.

Four fighters will make their MMA debut starting with Idaho native Nathaniel Mejia (0-0) taking on Nacho Navarro (1-0) in a flyweight bout. Navarro won his debut fight in January against Shawn Cook by submission just 1:35 into the first round at SteelFist Fight Night in Utah.

Jesse Starkey (0-0) will also make his debut up against Jarret Finau (3-0) in a heavyweight bout. The Washington native Finau won all three fights in the first round, including by punches in his last fight in April 2018 against Tony Hugo. His second fight took just 12 seconds against Chancy Blanton, also by punches.

In a flyweight bout, Tryston Hutchinson (0-0) debuts in the cage against Kyle “Kid Flash” Aslami (2-1) in the third amateur fight. Aslami won both fights in previous Front Street Fight events, taking down Rafael Conorado in Front Street Fights 14 in the first round as well as defeating Joe Rodriguez at Front Street Fights 17 by unanimous decision. The Idaho native’s previous result was a split decision loss to Timmy Garcia.

Tim “No Soul” Cameron (1-4) returns to the arena cage against Briley “Smurda” Streeter (1-0) in a Featherweight bout. Cameron makes his fourth appearance at CenturyLink Arena following a loss at Front Street Fights 17 but appearing in three different Front Street Fights events since 2017. Streeter won his MMA debut in August against Jordan Hughes by submission in the first round.

The final undercard fight features Refugio Garcia (2-1) against Brandon Mendoza (0-0) in his debut fight in a Welterweight bout. Garcia makes his second Boise event after making his MMA debut at Front Street Fights 15, and since his opening fight he has won back-to-back bouts, including his most recent fight against Ty Reece.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for Front Street Fights 18 with the first fight scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The event will be broadcast live on Cable One Channel 72 and streamed on the Front Street Fights YouTube Channel.
